providing hope

For cancer patients and their families, the costs related to treatment can add up very quickly! Doctor visits, time off from work, travel expenses, overnight stays, medications, and more. These are just some of the many expenses that most families are not prepared for and can put a significant strain on their budgets. The financial burden of cancer treatment may ultimately force families to face an incredibly difficult decision: should they use their limited resources to pay for life-saving treatment or essential living expenses?

Throughout the years, Families Raising Hope has worked diligently to ease some of the financial burdens experienced by families in Arizona. We have provided them with crisis funding, enabling them to prioritize their health, healing, and recovery. This invaluable support has been utilized to cover vital expenses such as mortgages, car payments, medical costs, utility bills, and a wide range of other essential living expenses. These funds have been especially crucial while their loved ones or they themselves undergo treatment for various forms of cancer, including but not limited to Triple Negative Breast Cancer, Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer, Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Stage 4 Rectal Cancer, and Metastatic Ovarian Cancer.

Your support helps in a variety of ways such as:

These burdens include bills from doctor visits, hospital stays, and specialized procedures that can quickly accumulate, as well as medical and prescription copays that families must regularly budget for. Additionally, the strain of high insurance deductibles adds to the financial stress. Beyond medical expenses, families also have to manage housing expenses, such as rent or mortgage payments, which can become increasingly challenging to meet when medical costs pile up. Other essential expenses, like groceries and utility bills, may need to be prioritized alongside medical expenses, leaving families with difficult choices to make. Furthermore, unexpected car repairs and maintenance expenses, as well as the cost of transportation to treatment appointments, like gas, further strain the already limited financial resources. By understanding the full extent of these financial burdens, we can better empathize with families who are facing medical conditions and advocate for better support systems to alleviate their financial hardships.
