Our Mission in Action
Families Raising Hope provides one-time financial assistance grants to cancer patients and their families facing urgent need. These grants help keep the lights on, maintain stable housing, put food on the table, and cover other essential living expenses—allowing patients to focus on their health, healing, and recovery.
Families Raising Hope (FRH) provides critical financial assistance to cancer patients across Arizona, many of whom are facing severe economic hardship on top of the physical and emotional toll of their diagnosis. Our mission is to ease the financial toxicities of cancer treatment so patients can focus on their health, healing, and recovery.
We serve patients referred by hospitals, cancer centers, and social workers who recognize the urgent need for non-medical support—covering essentials such as rent, mortgage payments, utilities, transportation, and groceries. These grants often prevent eviction, utility shut-offs, and food insecurity, while enabling patients to access life-saving treatment without the fear of losing their home or stability.
The majority of the individuals we assist are unemployed due to treatment-related complications, live in single-income or single-parent households, and fall at or below the Federal Poverty Level. The demand continues to grow.
By providing timely, compassionate financial relief, FRH delivers more than assistance—we deliver hope, stability, and a lifeline to Arizona families in their most vulnerable moments.
